Freshman Lead Attack As Women's Soccer Blanks Immaculata

IMMACULATA, PA (September 20, 2012) – Three freshmen scored goals in leading the Arcadia University women's soccer team to a convincing 6-0 win over Immaculata University in non-conference action on Thursday. The Knights, who have won four games in a row and five of their last six overall, improved to 5-2-1 on the season.
 
Arcadia opened the scoring at the seven-minute mark when sophomore Kim Canfield found classmate Ana Stratton for a goal. Junior Fatima Elmedkhar extended the lead to 2-0 just under 10 minutes later. The Knights added to the margin as freshman Nicole Lobaton found the back of the net at the 32:50 mark of the first half.
 
Freshman Melia Ochsner added her first two collegiate goals less than nine minutes apart early in the second half. Freshman Caitlin Liscinski capped the scoring in the 76th minute as AU sent the Might Macs to their sixth loss of the season.

Arcadia will look to continue its hot streak as the Knights take on non-conference opponent Wilkes University on Saturday at 4 p.m. in Glenside.
