Box Score Glenside, PA (January 14, 2013) - Joe Brown scored 22 points and grabbed 16 rebounds, while
Khalief Trawick scored 24 points leading the Arcadia University Knights (10-5) to their fourth straight win, 81-71 over the Delaware Valley College Aggies (8-7). Arcadia trailed for just the first 1:55 of the game and led for the rest of way, leading by as many 11 points in the second half. Tonight was the Knights fourth straight win, their first four game winning streak since the 2005-06 season. Its also the first season with 10 wins since the 2007-08 campaign.
Arcadia led 6-4 early and then went on a 12-5 run to take an 18-9 lead at the 13:22 mark. The Knights then led 26-20 and used a 6-2 spurt to go up 32-22 with 3:48 to play. Del Val then scored the next five points to get to within five at 32-27, but Arcadia went into the break with a 37-31 lead.
Brown had 14 points and Trawick had 10 points in the first half. Francis Arnold scored seven to lead the Aggies. The Knights outshot the Aggies 50% to 41.9% and controlled the glass 20-15. Each team made six turnovers in the opening frame.
Arcadia held onto their lead, but Del Val got to within two points, 48-46 at the 13:20 mark. Arcadia then used a 9-0 run to take a 57-46 lead at 11:01. The Aggies hung around drawing to within five points twice and the used a 5-0 spurt to get to within three points at 69-66 with 3:37 to play. Arcadia then used an 8-1 run to go back up by 10 and put the game out of reach.
Brown was 9-12 from the field, including 2-3 from behind the arc with three blocks. Trawick was 9-14 from the field and grabbed eight rebounds.
Aaron Lee-Webb added 12 points, eight assists and six rebounds. Jeremy Beckett scored 24 points and grabbed 14 boards for the Aggies. Arcadia shot 57% from the field and held Del Val to 40%. The Knights won the board battle 42-21 and scored 44 points in the paint.
Arcadia will put their four game winning streak on the line on Wednesday night when they travel to face Alvernia for a 8pm tip-off.
