Women's Basketball Falls to Lycoming in Home Finale

Box Score Glenside, PA (February 9, 2013) - The Arcadia University Knights (10-13, 3-12 MCOM) ended the home portion of their schedule this afternoon with a 67-49 loss to the Lycoming College Warriors (7-15, 7-9). A late first half run gave Lycoming a nine-point halftime lead, which they extended to as many as 24 points in the second half. Addy Crenny recorded a double-double for the Knights with 11 points and 12 rebounds.

The game started slowly offensively with Arcadia holding a 3-2 lead at the 17:22 mark. Lycoming then went on a 9-0 run to open up an 11-3 lead with 15:33 to play. The Knights then used an 11-2 run to regain the lead at 14-13 with 11:38 on the clock. Arcadia then had an 18-15 advantage with under 10 to play, but the Warriors ended the half on a 17-5 run that gave them a 32-23 lead heading into the break.

Crenny scored seven points to lead the Knights. Olivia Manges led all scorers with 12 to lead Lycoming. The Warriors shot 37% from the field, while the Knights shot 33%. Arcadia led the board battle 25-21, but committed 16 turnovers while forcing eight.

The Knights cut into the Warriors lead to start the second half and trailed 35-28 at the 17:35 mark. Lycoming then scored four straight to go up by 11 points and held that lead. The Warriors then led 46-35 with 11:38 to play and went on a 15-2 run to open up a 61-37 lead at the 8:40 mark. Arcadia could only get as close as 19 points, which was the final margin.

Crenny was 5-8 from the field. Dominque Hassinger also added 11 points for Arcadia. Manges led all scorers with 17 points for Lycoming. The Warriors shot 41.3% from the field and held the Knights to 31.5%. Arcadia held a slight rebounding edge, 47-45, but committed 24 turnovers.

The Knights will hit the road for the last week of the season, starting on Tuesday as they travel to Lebanon Valley College for a 6pm tip-off.
