Box Score North Myrtle Beach, NC (March 13, 2013) - The Arcadia University Knights lost a high scoring affair to Spalding University this morning 12-8. Spalding used a five run fourth take the lead and went on to the victory. Leanda Helms was 3-4 with a two runs scored and two RBI. Erin Ficca took the loss.

Arcadia got on the board first scoring two in the first on an RBI singles by Helms and Marissa Perez. Spaliding then scored five in the second for a 5-2 lead, but the Knights scored five of their own in the bottom of the inning. Alexandra Schafer hit a two run double to make the score 5-4. Kathleen Resh then scored an unearned run to tie the game. Arcadia took the lead on RBI single by Helms and the scored a run on an error to take a 7-5 lead. The Knights scored a single run in third on an RBI double by Schafer to make it 8-5, but Spalding scored five in the fourth to take a 10-8 lead and then added two more in the seventh for a 12-8 win.

Schafer was 2-4 with a run scored and three RBI. Zablotsky was 0-2, but had two walks and pair of runs scored.
