Camden, NJ (April 4, 2013) - Emily Delp won her fourth singles match, 6-3, 6-2 and clinched a 6-3 victory for the Arcadia University Knights (5-0) over Rutgers-Camden. Arcadia won two of the doubles matches and team split the singles matches. Delp's victory gave Arcadia the fifth and deciding point in the match.
In doubles play,
Jasmine Peake and
Viola Sawyer won at second doubles, 8-5. Alexis Broome and
Latoya Fluker then won at third doubles, 8-2. The Knights dropped the first two singles matches, but won the final four. Sawyer won at third singles, 6-0, 6-0, Delp at fourth singles, Broom at fifth singles, 7-3 (7-3), 6-1 and
Danielle Riggins won at sixth singles, 6-2, 6-4.
Arcadia will return to action on Saturday as they host Bryn Athyn at 12pm on Weiss Courts.
