Box Score 2 GLENSIDE, PA (Sept. 21, 2013) - The Arcadia University Volleyball team went undefeated in Saturday's home tri-match against non-conference opponents Keystone College and Rosemont College. The wins improve the Knights to 5-3 on the season.
The Knights played Keystone in their 1st match of the afternoon, 2nd of the tri-match. Keystone played Rosemont earlier in the day and swept them 3-0. The Knights went the length with the Giants in set one edging them 29-27. The Giants would respond in set two defeating the Knights 25-23. The Knights dominated the Giants in set three only allowing the Giants to score 4 points. In set four, Arcadia would rally back to defeat Keystone 25-18 to take the match victory. The loss drops Keystone to 6-5 on the season.
Junior
Natalie Cadmus dominated with a game-high 21 kills and 12 digs. Freshman
Makenna Micklus contributed 16 kills. Freshman
Alexis McGinn recorded a game-high 25 assist and senior
Veronika Bailey chipped in with a game-high 18 digs.
In the final match of the day, the Knights beat Rosemont College in all three sets; 25-10, 25-10 and 25-15. Senior
Melissa D'Arcangelo paced the Knights with a team-high 7 kills. Freshman
Alexis McGinn recorded another game-high 23 assist. The loss drops Rosemont to 0-10 on the season.
The Knights will look to continue their win streak this Tuesday when they travel to Lebanon Valley to take on the Dutchmen in MAC Commonwealth action at 7 PM.
