Volleyball Rallies To Beat Hood College 3-2

Frederick, MD (Sept 4, 2013) - Being down 2-0 heading into the third set, the Arcadia University Volleyball team used a monster rally to down MAC Commonwealth opponent Hood College 3-2 to take the match victory and their first conference win of the season to improve them to 2-1 overall, while Hood drops to 0-1.

Set one and two were close for the Knights but Hood won both 25-20 and 25-22.  The Knights refused to let down as they beat Hood in the third set 25-21 and the fourth 25-22, forcing the 5th and beating Hood 15-11 to travel back to Glenside with the win.

Junior transfer Natalie Cadmus paced the Knights with a game-high 19 kills and 20 digs. Freshman Alexia Bell contributed a game-high 40 assist and recorded 12 digs.  Sophomore Kathryn Aherns had a solid night with 10 kills and 7 digs.  

Amy Hagerdon led the Blazers with 11 kills and 25 digs.  

The Knights look to capitalize on tonights victory when they welcome the Mighty Macs of Immaculata University to the Kuch Center on Saturday at 1 PM.
