WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's soccer team surrendered a pair of second half goals as it dropped a 2-0 Commonwealth Conference match at Lycoming College Saturday.
With the loss, the Knights drop to 6-5-2 overall and 1-2-1 in conference matches, while the Warriors improve to 11-2-3 overall and 3-2-0 in conference play.
The match remained scoreless through the first 60 minutes of play until Lycoming pushed across what proved to be the game-winner in the 61st minute after freshman forward/midfielder Nathan Harding headed a pass from senior midfielder Kevin Seymour off the crossbar and into the back of the net.
The Warriors added an added an insurance goal 11 minutes later in the 72nd minute after freshman midfielder Jordan Logan netted a corner kick feed from senior midfielder Luke Klinger.
Lycoming held the advantage in both shots (13-7) and corner kicks (7-3) for the contest.
For the Knights, junior goalie
Seth Shoap made five saves but allowed both goals to suffer the loss in net, dropping his record to 6-5-2 on the year.
Senior goalkeeper Connor Keenan picked up his ninth shutout win in goal for Lycoming after recording four saves, improving his record to 10-2-3 for the season.
Arcadia will look to bounce back on Wednesday when the Knights host Alvernia University for a 7 p.m. Commonwealth Conference match at Easton Field.
