Kramer scores twice for women’s soccer in 2-0 win at Lycoming

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sophomore forward/midfielder Lennon Kramer scored her team-leading 10th and 11th goals of the season to lead the Arcadia University women's soccer team to a 2-0 Commonwealth Conference victory at Lycoming College Saturday.

The Knights improved to 12-3-0 overall and 3-1-0 with their fourth consecutive shutout win. Senior keeper Veronica Willig needed to make just one save as her record improved to 10-3-0 with her sixth shutout of the season.

Kramer scored her first goal of the game after being sent in on a breakaway off a give-and-go from senior midfielder Kim Canfield and sophomore forward/midfielder Karis Poore in the 23rd-minute. Kramer then broke in all alone again for her second goal of the game off a Warrior turnover in the 35th-minute.

Canfield's assist was her team and conference-leading 11th of the season. Poore's helper was her third of the year.

Arcadia dominated the match from start to finish, holding a 23-3 advantage in shots and an 8-0 margin on corner kicks.

Freshman keeper Joelle Winey finished with nine saves in goal for Lycoming, which fell to 3-13-0 on the season with its fifth straight loss.

The Knights will look to extend their winning streak to five games Tuesday, hosting a 7 p.m. Commonwealth Conference match against Alvernia University at Easton Field.
