Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women’s soccer loses 1-0 to Lebanon Valley College

GLENSIDE, Pa.- The Arcadia University women's soccer team suffered a 1-0 Commonwealth Conference defeat against Lebanon Valley College on Saturday afternoon at Easton Field. The Knights fell to 13-4-0 overall and 4-2-0 in Commonwealth Conference play with the loss. The Dutchmen improved to 13-2-0 overall and 5-1-0 in Commonwealth Conference play.

The lone goal of the game came in 52nd minute off of a free kick for Lebanon Valley. Freshman back Emmie Santoleri served a pass into the box that was settled and shot in by junior midfielder Rachel Cummings at the left post

Arcadia had several scoring chances in the game, but was unable to convert on them.
In the 35th minute, freshman forward Kayla Haberbosch headed a shot off the crossbar, and in the 40th minute, sophomore forward/midfielder Karis Poore took a shot from the right side of the box that bent to the right as the wind was blowing in, pushing the ball just outside of the upper 90 and out of bounds. Sophomore forward Lennon Kramer took a shot in the 41st minute from point blank that was stopped by Lebanon Valley sophomore goalkeeper Taylor Reinhold.

Perhaps the Knights best chance was on a shot from Haberbosch in the 78th minute when she directed a shot right into Reinhold. Arcadia also had a near breakaway opportunity shortly after the Dutchmen goal, but the lead pass to Poore was just out of her reach and got to Reinhold.

Arcadia senior goalkeeper Veronica Willig fell to 11-4-0 on the season with the loss.  Reinhold improved to 12-2-1 on the season.

The Knights led 10-9 in shots, and had a 10-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Arcadia returns to action on Wednesday when it travels to Reading for a 7 p.m. Commonwealth Conference match against Albright College.
