WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's tennis team dropped a 7-2 Freedom Conference match at King's (Pa.) College Saturday. The Monarch's improved to 10-4 overall and 4-1 in the Freedom Conference, while the Knights fell to 6-5 overall and 1-3 in conference play.
Sophomore
Darren Stochmal (Millville, N.J.) and freshman Charles Poklikuha (West Creek, Pa.) were 8-3 winners for Arcadia at No. 3 doubles of the team over junior Tyler Ryman (Kingston, Pa.) and sophomore Ryan Hegarty (East Islip, N.Y.).
Senior
Marc Ruggia () picked up a 7-6, 1-6, 10-7 over fellow senior Jake Rohring (Wilson, N.Y.) at No. 4 singles, while sophomore Alexander Colton () fell in three sets to senior Tony Bevevino (Dallas, Pa.) at No. 3 singles, 6-2, 4-6, 10-3.
The Knights will look to bounce back when they host a 2:30 p.m. Freedom Conference match against FDU-Florham at Weiss Courts.
