GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's tennis team dropped a 7-2 Freedom Conference match to visiting Stevenson University Wednesday afternoon at Weiss Courts. The Mustangs improved to 2-3 overall and 1-2 in conference play with their first victory of the season, while the Knights fell to 5-4 overall and 1-2 in conference play.
Sophomore
Vincent Voulo (Kunkletown, Pa.) posted a 6-4, 6-1 win over fellow sophomore Robbie Baker (Glenwood, Md.) at No. 1 singles, while senior
Marc Ruggia (Mt. Laurel, N.J.) was a 6-4, 6-2 winner over fellow senior Anthony Carle (Reisterstown, Md.) at No. 4 singles. Ruggia and Voulo were edged by sophomore Conrad Ellis (Baltimore, Md.) and freshman Bryan Geiselman (Westminster, Md.) at No. 2 doubles, 8-6.
The Knights will return to action Friday when they travel to Bryn Athyn College for a 4 p.m. non-conference match.
