GLENSIDE, Pa.- The Arcadia University men's soccer team suffered a 2-0 loss to visiting Rowan University Wednesday evening at Easton Field. With the loss, the Knights fall to 3-2-1 on the season. The Profs improved to 4-3-0 with the win.
Rowan came out on fire in the first half, taking 16 shots and forcing junior goalkeeper
Seth Shoap to record seven saves, most of which were highlight reel worthy. These saves allowed the Knights to go into halftime tied 0-0.
In the second half the Profs would break through, getting a goal in the 59
th-minute from freshman midfielder Tyler Logar who put in a rebound off a save that Shoap made on freshman forward Shane Guyer, who recorded an assist on the play. The Profs would score again in the 79
th-minute when freshman forward Travis Ward scored following a throw-in, with an assist from junior back Dave Schwartz.
Shoap made 10 saves in the loss while falling to 3-2-1. Profs' senior goalkeeper Kevin Vasta made three saves to improve to 4-3-0 with the win.
The Knights return to action Saturday at Easton Field with a home non-conference match against King's College at 1 p.m.
