Women’s soccer blanks Delaware Valley, 3-0

GLENSIDE, Pa. – Sophomore forward/midfielder Lennon Kramer scored a pair of goals to help lead the Arcadia University women's soccer team to a 3-0 non-conference victory over visiting Delaware Valley College Tuesday night at Easton Field.

Kramer got the Knights (7-2-0) on the board just 5:16 into the match when she headed the ball in off a corner from senior forward/midfielder Kim Canfield, and then capped the scoring in the game when she carried a pass from Canfield into the middle of the box and deposited it into the left side of the net for her team-leading eighth goal of the season.

Sophomore forward Karis Poore accounted for Arcadia's other goal, putting home the rebound of a shot that was saved off the foot of senior midfielder Nina Barbieri in the 19th-minute for her fourth goal of the season.

The Knights dominated play from the onset, outshooting the Aggies (3-4-1) 40-2 and taking all 10 corner kicks in the contest.

Senior keeper Veronica Willig earned the win in net for Arcadia without facing a shot during the first half. Freshman keeper Natalie Toner registered a pair of saves in the second half.

Sophomore keeper Claudia Winters came up big in goal for Delaware Valley, recording 15 saves in the game.

The Knights will return to action Saturday when they host a 4 p.m. non-conference match against ninth-ranked Misericordia University.
