OWINGS Mills, Md. – The Arcadia University field hockey team dropped a 3-0 MAC Commonwealth match at Stevenson University Saturday night, dropping its record to 5-10 overall and 0-4 in conference play. The Mustangs improved 8-7 overall and 3-1 in league play.
Alexis Young put Stevenson on the board 11:37 into the match with what proved to be the game-winning goal, and scored again with 6:06 left in the first half to give the Mustangs a 2-0 lead at the half. Marissa Hoffman added a goal 11 minutes in the second half off a corner for the 3-0 final.
That was more than enough offense for Kim Harh, who had three saves while recording the shutout win in the cage.
Junior
Brittany Hodson took the loss in goal for Arcadia after making eight saves and allowed both first half goals in 32:43 played in the first half. Senior
Mia De Plato had six saves and one goal allowed in the final 37:17.
Arcadia will next host Alvernia University Wednesday at 7 p.m. in a MAC Commonwealth match at Easton Field.
