GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's soccer team played its final home game of the season on Tuesday night as they took down the Lions of Albright College 3-1. Sophomore Kayla Haberbosch scored two goals for the Knights to secure the win.
Haberbosch opened the scoring in the sixth minute. The Allentown, Pa. native was on the receiving end of a through ball from Mia Bertolami on the right side of the box which she was able to poke past the keeper.
Tara Smith picked up where she left off on Sunday as she picked up her third goal in two games, her fourth of the season, in the 54th minute; the goal would prove to be the game-winner. The sophomore headed the ball into the right corner of the net on a cross from Jess Kelly. Haberbosch capped the scoring for the Scarlet and Grey on a breakaway shot from the center of the box in the 70th minute.
The Lions tallied their lone goal off a rebound in the 85th minute.
Arcadia outshot the visitors 18-4 overall, with each side registering 11 and two shots on goal respectively. Evelyn Feigeles made one save to pick up her 12th win of the season. Payton Bogatch picks up the loss making seven saves.
The 12-5 Knights wrap up the season on Saturday at Hood. The Scarlet and Grey currently sit in a three-way tie for the second seed in the MAC Commonwealth playoffs.
