Knights Dominate Muhlenberg to move to 2-0, Landro Drops 28 Points

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's basketball team moved to 2-0 for the first time since the 1995-96 season with a dominating 86-58 win over Muhlenberg to wrap up the MAC-Centennial Challenge Saturday night. For the second straight night Arcadia saw four players score in double figures led by senior John Landro with 28 points.

Those points helped spark an 11-0 run for the Knights capped off by an Evan Slone jumper with 11:57 remaining in the frame to open a 19-11. Landro lifted the Knights to their first double-digit lead at 25-15 with a bucket from distance with 10:34 left in the first half. Josh Scott drained a jumper to give the Knights their biggest lead of the half at 34-20 with just over six minutes left in the half.

Arcadia took a 45-34 lead to the break shooting 45.9% from the field as a team. LAndro notched 16 of his points in the opening frame. Kyle Reilly and Evan Slone each hauled in four boards.

The Scarlet and Grey slowly expanded its lead in the second half, using a 10-0 run in the mid-portion of the stanza to pull away with a 68-47 lead with just over nine minutes left. Amaar Clemente drained a three with 2:38 on the clock to give the Knights a game-high 30-point lead at 82-52.
