GLENSIDE, Pa. – The top-seeded Arcadia University women's soccer team advances to the ECAC Division III South Championship Game following a 1-0 win in the semifinals over fourth-seeded FDU-Florham. Junior
Kayla Haberbosch scored the game's only goal for the Knights.
The early goings of the first half saw a possession battle with neither team gaining an advantage. That would change in the 25
th minute when Haberbosch danced through the defense to get open at the top right corner of the box where she fired a shot into the upper left 90 for the goal. The goal sparked life into the Knights as five of their eight total shots in the half went on goal. Defensively, the Knights allowed four shot attempts in the half, however none made on goal.
Arcadia dominated the second half firing 16 total shots. The Knights' defense stood strong through the final 45 minutes allowing just two shots in the frame.
Haberbosch led all Knights with seven shots, three of which went on goal.
Karis Poore played a great game for the Knights that included six total shot and three shots on goal.
Evelyn Feigeles had to make just two saves to earn the win. Annie George made a dozen saves in the loss for FDU-Florham.
Arcadia (15-6) will defend its back-to-back ECAC titles in tomorrow's championship game against the winner of the No. 2 Lebanon Valley and No. 3 Grove City semifinal match. Kickoff tomorrow is set for 3 p.m.
