Glenside, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's soccer team was firing on all cylinders Tuesday night as they took down Cabrini 5-0 behind junior
Lennon Kramer's three goal performance. Now with 40 career goals, Kramer sits in sole possession of second place on Arcadia's all-time goals list.
Kayla Haberbosch netted her third goal of the season, while
Kristen Carrete found twine for the first time.
The Scarlet and Grey picked up right where they left off on Saturday with strong defense and an agressive attack, however it took nearly two-thirds of the opening stanza to cash in. Following a Cavalier foul, junior
Alyssa Ferraro restarted from just a few yeards over the midfield line. The set piece was fired perfectly to a crossing Kramer to bury her first of the night.
Sophomore
Kristen Carrete added her first tally of the year with three and half minutes remaining in the opening stanza as she rifled a shot from just outside the 18 year box to beat the keeper on the far side.
15 shots left the feet of the Knights in the opening 45 minutes compared to just three from the visitors. The Cavaliers lone shot on goal came in the frame.
It didn't take long for the hosts to build their lead. Sophomore
Kayla Haberbosch met twine when she collected a cross from classmate
Jess Kelly and buried it in the lower left 90. Kramer added her second just a minute later after junior
Karis Poore found her for a cross from the right side.
Mia Bertolami fed Kramer to finish the hat trick. The frosh served a cross right the head of Kramer who put it in the upper left 90.
Now sitting at 4-2, the Knights hit the road for a three game road swing beginning Saturday at Wilkes at 2:30. then to Delaware Valley on Wednesday and Misericordia next Saturday before returning home on October 3 to square off against Stevenson to open MAC Commonwealth play.
