HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision to host Haverford College in the opening round of competition at the 2015 Haverford Kick-Off Classic. The Knights (1-1-0) will face SUNY Brockport Sunday at 3:30 p.m. in the consolation game. Brockport fell to Eastern University 4-2 on penalty kicks after battling to a 2-2 draw through 110 minutes..
 
The Fords (2-0-0) jumped out to an early 2-0 lead as Skyler Ellenburg and Riana Fitzpatrick both found the back of the net in a span of 1:21 to put Haverford up by two 15:21 into the match. Anna Delke then cashed in on a penalty kick in the 38th-minute to put the Fords up 3-0 at the break.
 
Arcadia finally broke through on the scoreboard 5:33 into the second half when junior Lennon Kramer header the ball into the upper-right corner off a cross from sophomore Tara Smith for her second goal of the year. The assist was the first of Smith's collegiate career.
 
Katly Prescott totaled four saves to earn the win in net for Haverford, while freshman Evelyn Feigeles had five saves in net for the Knights as her record fell to 1-1-0 for the year.
 
Arcadia had a slight 15-13 edge in shots for the game, including a 9-7 advantage in the second half. Haverford had a 4-3 edge in corner kicks.
