Complete ResultsGLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's swimming team closed out the home portion of its 2015-16 schedule with a 114-90 Middle Atlantic Conference victory over visiting Lycoming College Saturday at Lenox Pool. The Knights improved to a program-record 7-2 in dual meets this season, while the Warriors fell to 2-5.
Sophomore
Grant Fisher took home the victory in the 1,000 after touching the wall in 10:44.15 in the first individual event of the day, and later won the 500 freestyle in 5:15.34. Sophomore
Jacob Schellinger posted a win in the 50 freestyle after going 22.95, while senior
Will Nolter placed third in the 500 freestyle (5:37.15).
Senior
Timothy Graham and freshman
Michael Melissen posted a 1-2 finish in the 200 freestyle with respective times of 1:49.83 and 1:53.50. Graham was second in the 100 butterfly with a time of 54.00 seconds, edging out Melissen (57.38) and freshman
Brian Lockhart (1:04.90) for third and fourth.
Junior
Eric Lam and freshman
Andrew Givone took the top two spots in the 400 IM, with Lam finishing first in 4:25.36 and Givone clocking in at 4:39.05. They reversed roles in the 100 breaststroke, with Givone posting a winning time of 1:02.45 and Lam touching the wall second in 1:03.45. Lam was the Knights' top finisher in the 100 backstroke, taking second in 56.88.
The 200 freestyle relay team of freshmen
A.J. Cawley and
Bill Rodgers, Nolter and Fisher notched a winning time of 1:37.63 to close the meet. Melissen, Givone, Graham and Schellinger took second in the 200 medley relay to open the day in 1:43.65.
Arcadia will close out the dual meet portion of the season January 23 with a MAC dual meet at Widener.
