YORK, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's and women's swim teams finished competition at the 2026 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships on Sunday, February 15th. The men finished fourth with 835 points and the women finished sixth with 763 points.
MEN'S TEAM HIGHLIGHTS
-Braeden Wolf led Arcadia in the 500-yd freestyle with a fifth-place finish and a time of 4:49.09.
-Matthew Drake finished sixth overall in the 50-yd freestyle, touching in 21.37 while breaking the school record.
-The 200-yd medley relay team of Christopher Stanaway, Drake, Owen Foley, and Kajuan Haughton placed fourth overall with a time of 1:37.39.
-The 200-yd freestyle relay team of Haughton, Stanaway, Michael Sanchez, and Drake finished fourth overall with a time of 1:28:60.
-Foley placed eighth overall in the 100-yd butterfly with a lifetime best time of 53:92.
-The 400-yd medley relay squad of Stanaway, Mikalai Yakhimchyk, Foley, and Wolf placed sixth overall with a time of 3:41:21.
-Chris Carroll led the Knights with a seventh-place finish in the 200-yd butterfly, touching in 2:03.74.
-Drake took fourth in the 100-yd backstroke with a time of 52:45.
-Stanaway also had a top-eight finish in the 100-yd backstroke, finishing sixth with a time of 53:55.
-Drake continued to add to the score for the Knights with a fourth place finish in the
100-yd backstroke with a time of 59:40.
-The 800-yd freestyle relay team of Wolf, Carroll, Foley, and Drake finished second overall with a time of 7:20:15.
-Wolf placed sixth in the 1650-yd freestyle with a time of 17:11:59.
-Stanaway placed seventh in the 200-yd backstroke with a time of 1:59:23.
-The 400-yd freestyle relay team of Drake, Stanaway, Foley and Wolf finished fourth overall with a time of 3:18:29.
WOMEN'S TEAM HIGHLIGHTS
-Mikayla Scardino earned a bronze medal in the 50-yd freestyle with a time of 24.48.
-Ava Despeaux placed fifth overall in the 200-yd individual medley, touching in 2:13.39.
-Sophia Randle added a scoring finish in the 50-yd freestyle with a time of 26.33.
-The 200-yd medley relay squad of Scardino, Juliane Heller, Despeaux, and Randle finished fourth overall with a time of 1:53.56.
-Despeaux earned a third-place finish in the 100-yd butterfly with a time of 59:04, securing a podium finish for the Knights.
-The 200-yd freestyle relay team of Scardino, Randle, Brooke Boyd, and Audrey Haydu finished fifth overall with a time of 1:41:32.
-The 400-yd medley relay squad of Scardino, Heller, Despeaux, and Boyd placed fifth overall with a time of 4:08:47
-Despeaux earned another third-place finish in the 200-yd butterfly with a 2:13:65 finish.
-Scardino came in fourth in the 100-yd backstroke, finishing at 59:48.
-Heller finished eighth in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:10:03.
-The 800-yd freestyle relay squad of Gabby Schultz, Boyd, Kylie Perry, and Haydu placed sixth overall with a time of 8:16:22.
-Scardino placed fourth in the 100-yd freestyle with a time of 54:10.
-Schultz recorded an eight place finish in the 200-yd freestyle with a time of 2:16:96.
-Heller placed seventh in the 200-yd breaststroke with a time of 2:33:58.
-The 400-yd freestyle relay squad of Scardino, Boyd, Deseaux, and Haydu placed fifth overall with a time of 3:42:91.
