Men’s and Women’s Swimming Opens 2026-27 Campaign Saturday

GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's and women's swimming teams are set to open the 2026-27 season on Saturday, hosting York College (Pa.) in their first Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) dual meet of the season. The Knights enter the campaign under third-year head coach Casmera Wick.

"I'm really excited about the season ahead and the team we're building. We have a talented group of returning swimmers who are ready to keep pushing forward, and I'm equally excited about the new talent joining our program. There's a lot of potential in this team and I can't wait to see what we accomplish together." - Head Coach Casmera Wick

Arcadia returns a combined 18 swimmers, with nine returning on the women's side and nine on the men's side, while welcoming 11 newcomers to the program.

WOMEN'S SWIMMING
The women's team returns a veteran core led by seniors Ava Despeaux, Maddie Farrelly, Kayleigh Kennedy, Rylie Pellegrino, Kylie Perry, and Lily Stauffer. The experienced group will look to provide leadership while setting the tone for the Knights throughout the season.

Arcadia will also look for continued development from its sophomore class, including Jenna Carr, Alyssa Garber, Audrey Haydu, and Gabby Schultz. After gaining valuable experience as first-years, the group will look to take another step forward and make an impact in the pool.

The Knights welcome four first-years to the roster in Kendall McGuire, Annalise Nichols, Caitlin O'Brien, and Anna Smithson. The newcomers will look to contribute early while adding depth to the Arcadia lineup.

MEN'S SWIMMING
The men's team is led by seniors Matthew Drake, Johnny Pierce, and Braeden Wolf, who will provide veteran leadership for the Knights heading into the new season.

A strong junior class will also play an important role, with Mikalai Yakhimchyk, Michael Sanchez, Chris Carroll, and AJ Benowitz returning to help lead the team and provide experience throughout the lineup.

Arcadia's sophomore class features Alex Pasquarello and Kajuan Haughton, while the Knights welcome six first-years in Grant DeLoretta, Niko DeStefano, Griffin Henshaw, Parker Miles, Peyton Ward, and Kouki Watanabe. The group will look to make an immediate impact while providing additional depth across the roster.
