GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's soccer team opened MAC Commonwealth play Saturday afternoon, taking the defending conference champion Lycoming Warriors to double overtime before the match resulted in a 1-1 draw. This marks the fourth time in the last five meetings the Knights and Warriors went to overtime. Arcadia is now 6-2-2 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED: The match nearly went to overtime with no score; however each team found the back of the net in the final five minutes of the second half. Lycoming scored with 4:11 remaining in regulation on a goal from Duc Momo, but the Knights answered right back. Following a Warrior foul, freshman

Tyler Ihle found the ball off the free kick and put it in the right corner of the goal with 2:16 to go in regulation.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS: Arcadia needed a single shot on frame to score it goal, while the hosts put eight shots on frame. The corner kick battle was near even with Lycoming taking three and the Knights two. The Warriors were called offside three times.
IN GOAL: Junior
Chris Watson made seven saves in the contest and moved to 6-2-2 on the season. Josh Gildea did not make any saves for Lycoming.
