GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's soccer team suffered a 4-0 setback to MAC Commonwealth rival Lebanon Valley Wednesday night on Easton Field. The Knights fell to 6-3-2 on the season with an 0-1-1 conference record, while the Dutchmen improved to 8-2 with a 1-1 conference record.
HOW IT HAPPENED: The early portion of the contest was a back and forth battle of possession with neither team gaining an upper hand. The visitors got on the board in the 13th minute on a shot from the top of the box to the lower left side of the goal. The score would stand until the 69th minute when Lebanon Valley scored its first of three second half goals.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS: The numbers were fairly even in the game with a slim 15-14 shot advantage going to the visitors. Each keeper made six saves; however the Knights controlled the corner kick department with nine, compared to four for the Dutchmen.
IN GOAL: Junior
Chris Watson (6-3-2) made six saves for the Knights, with Cam Avery (8-2) making six at the other end.
