Men’s Soccer Scores Three in Second Half to Fuel 3-1 Win Over Alvernia

GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's soccer team picked up its first MAC Commonwealth win of the season Tuesday night 3-1 over Alvernia on Easton Field. The Knights scored all three goals in the second half. Arcadia is now 7-4-2 on the season and 1-2-1 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED: After going into halftime down 1-0, junior Bradley McKim shifted momentum in the Knights' favor in the 49th minute. The Fallston, Md. native dribbled through the defense on the right side of the box before beating the keeper to the far side, knotting the game at one. In the 60th minute, sophomore Manny Camacho found a loose ball at the top of the box with which he put in the lower right corner of the net for a 2-1 Arcadia lead. Just under 15 minutes later, sophomore Ryan Hammer found the back of the net for the first time this season on a goal off a set piece from freshman Keegan Halloran.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: The Knights outshot the Crusaders 14-12 in the contest, including 7-5 in shots on frame. Highlighted by four in the first half, Arcadia took four corner kicks to the visitors' two. Each team was called offsides once.

IN GOAL: Junior Chris Watson denied four shots to move to 7-4-2 on the season, while Zach Rider made four saves in the loss for Alvernia.
