WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's swimming team sits in first place through the first two sessions of the 2016 Diamond City Invitational, totaling 480.5 points through 24 events. Misericordia is in second with 431 points, while host King's (Pa.) is in third 364.5 points.
RELAYS: The 200 medley relay of senior

Tristan Highet placed third with a time of 1:41.19, finishing behind teams from Misericordia (1:38.85) and King's (1:40.91). The 800 freestyle relay of senior
Matthew Morano, Lam, Melissen and junior
Grant Fisher were runner-up to Misericordia with a time of 7:30.40; the Cougars won with a time of 7:16.30.
INDIVIDUAL MEDLEY: The Knights had four of the top-10 finishers in the 400 IM, led by Lam's second-place finish. He touched the wall in 4:27.02, trailing only Misericordia's Scott Thomas (4:17.91). Freshmen
T.J. Dalton placed fourth in 4:32.94, followed by classmates
Austin Lauer (4:54.06) and
Reed French (5:19.92) in seventh and 10th, respectively.
FREESTYLE: Fisher took home the title in the 200 after clocking in first with a time of 1:46.80. Morano placed fourth in 1:50.88, while freshman
Zach Bondurant (1:55.42) and
A.J. Cawley (1:55.59) placed 12th and 13th.
BREASTSTROKE: The Knights placed two swimmers in the top-10 of the 100, with junior
Chris Nicolescu (1:03.73) and freshman
Mark Preedy (1:03.90) placing sixth and seventh in the race. Lauer placed 11th in 1:08.15, while Naturale placed 13th in 1:08.35.
BUTTERFLY: Junior
Jacob Schellinger led three Knights that recorded top-10 finishes in the 100, placing third in 54.91. Highet placed fifth in 55.44, while Melissen placed seventh in 55.97.
BACKSTROKE: Lam was one of four Arcadia swimmers to score in the 100 backstroke, placing fourth in 56.81. Gardner also finished in the top-10, placing ninth in 1:01.36. Sophomore

Mike Gallagher (1:06.00) placed 16th.
