GRANTHAM, Pa. – The second-seeded Arcadia University women's soccer team fell 2-0 to top-seeded Messiah Saturday night in the MAC Commonwealth Championship Game.
HOW IT HAPPENED: The teams went to the half in a scoreless draw. The Falcons got their first goal in the 50th minute on a free kick from Marisa Weaver just outside the top of the box. Ellie Lengacher tallied the second goal off a rebound in the 81st minute.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS: The hosts held an 18-6 advantage in shots, including 7-1 in shots on goal, while also taking seven corner kicks to Arcadia's one.
IN GOAL: Sophomore
Evelyn Feigeles made five saves, while Sara Yunez denied one shot.
UP NEXT: The Knights now await potential selection into the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament. The selection show will take place Monday at 1:30 p.m. on ncaa.com.
