Women's Basketball Drops Conference Contest 86-56 at No. 15/17Albright

READING, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's basketball suffered a 86-56 setback at nationally ranked Albright Wednesday evening. Senior Addy Crenny led the Scarlet and Grey with 17 points, moving into ninth place on Arcadia's all-time scoring list, and nine rebounds.  The Lions were led by Nina Mazzarelli with 21 points. Arcadia falls to 8-12 overall and 3-8 in the conference, while Albright moves to 19-2 and 11-1 in conference play.

The Knights struck first as senior Dominique Hassinger laid in a two points 1:11 into the contest before Crenny completed a three-point play just over three minutes in for a 5-4 lead. Unable to get to get in sync, the Knights found themselves down six after one quarter.

The deficit would be expanded to a dozen with just under six minutes to go in the half, however the Scarlet and Grey would fight back using a 12-3 run over the next 4:47 to pull within three with 1:05 left in the half. A half dozen points from Crenny fueled the run, with freshmen Camille Menns and Susan Bossler scoring three and two points, respectively and junior Imani Alston registering one point.

The Knights shot 37% in the opening half led by a 4 of 7, 13 point performance from Crenny. Highlighted by Kelecia Harris' 3 of 3, eight-point half, the Lions shot 40% in the half en route to a 38-32 lead at the break.

Over the first 4:28 of the third quarter, Albright outscored the Knights 15-0 jumping out to a 21-point lead. Arcadia was never able to recover as it shot 25% as a team over the final 20 minutes.

Bossler was the only Knight other than Crenny to record double-figures as the frosh dropped 11 points on 4 of 8 shooting. Mazzarelli went 4 of 4 for 14 points in the second half to lead a 50% shooting performance for Albright. The hosts were able to create separation by outscoring Arcadia 24-2 off turnovers; The Knights committed 20 turnovers compared to 12 for the Lions.

The Knights look to bounce back on Saturday when they host Lycoming on Senior Day.
