GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University softball team suffered a pair of setbacks Tuesday evening in non-conference play, falling 11-5 in game one and 5-4 in game two to Haverford. The Knights now sit at 14-12 on the season, while the Fords move to 13-13.
Game 1: Haverford 11, Arcadia 5
HOW IT HAPPENED: After scoring a run in each the second and third innings, the Fords took a 5-0 on a three-run homer from Kendall Chambers in the top of the fourth inning. The Knights responded with four runs in the bottom half of the frame to pull back within one at 5-4. Freshman

Nicole Iasiello, before freshman Kristen Cancelliere beat out a single to second to plate Resh. Haverford went on to score six in the top of the sixth, with Arcadia adding one on a SAC fly in the bottom of the sixth.
ARCADIA AT THE PLATE: The Scarlet and Grey recorded 10 hits in the opener, led by a 3-4 outing from Bilotti and a 2-3, one-RBI game from Cancelliere. Cancelliere had Arcadia's lone extra base hit, a triple in the bottom of the sixth inning.
HAVERFORD AT THE PLATE: The Fords pounded out 11 hits, highlighted by a 3-4, five-RBI game from Chambers. Kaitlyn Guild and Kristin Tatum had two hits each.
IN THE CICRLE: Emily Winesett earned the win for Haverford throwing four innings in relief, allowing one run on four hits with four strikeouts. Chambers started the game allowing four runs on six hits with a strikeout in three innings. Wilson (6-6) suffered the loss for Arcadia, allowing 11 runs (four earned) on 11 hits with a walk and a strikeout.
Game 2: Haverford 5, Arcadia 4
HOW IT HAPPENED: The Knights struck first, plating a run in each of the first two innings to go up 2-0. Bilotti brought Resh home with an RBI-double to left center in the first, before senior
Nicki Larro scored fromn third in the second on
Marissa Giberson's ground out to shortshop. The Fords responded with two runs in the third to tie the game before tacking on two more in the fourth to take a 4-2 lead. Larro pulled the Knights back within one after sending a 3-2 pitch over the center field fence for a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth to bring the score to 4-3. Each team would score once in the seventh for the 5-4 final.
KNIGHTS AT THE PLATE: Arcadia had six hits in the game, led by a 2-4 performance from Resh that included a double. Bilotti was 1-3 with a double and Larro went 1-2 with her first long ball of the year.
HAVERFORD AT THE PLATE: The Fords had nine base hits, led by two-hit games from Tatum and Rachel Wolfson.
IN THE CIRCLE: Winesett earned the win after tossing 6.1 innings, allowing four runs on six hits with four walks and three strikeouts. Resh (2-4) took the loss after allowing five runs (four earned) on nine hits and three walks.
