GLENSIDE, Pa. – The third-seeded Arcadia University softball team will host second-seeded Cabrini in a best-of-three series to decide the 2016 ECAC Division III South Championship. The changes come as a result of withdrawals from top-seeded Hood and fourth-seeded Bethany because of weather. First pitch for game-one is set for 9 a.m. Saturday morning on Blankley Field with game-two to follow. If necessary, game-three will take place Sunday morning at 10 a.m. on Blankley Field.

ABOUT ARCADIA: The Knights enter the series at 23-18 following an appearance in the MAC Commonwealth Championship tournament. MAC Commonwealth Rookie of the Year and First-Team All-MAC Commonwealth selection
Jackie Bilotti leads the team at the dish, hitting .429 while leading the team in doubles (15), triples (2), slugging percentage (.610) and on-base percentage (.471). Sophomore
Amanda Hess received Honorable Mention to the All-Conference team and is hitting .384 with nine doubles, a triple and two home runs while classmate and Second-Team All-Conference selection
Nicole Iasiello has launched a team-best four home runs while hitting .376. Senior
Erin Wilson garnered Second-Team All-Conference honors and holds a 10-8 record in the circle with a 2.39 ERA and 99 strikeouts.
ABOUT CABRINI: The Cavaliers come in with a 24-16 record following a 9-4 loss to Neumann in the CSAC Championship Game. With a .504 batting average Christine Ferraro leads the way for Cabrini at the plate. Lindsay Savar has seven home runs this season; however Kaitlyn Cooper leads the team with 16 extra base hits on nine doubles, four triples and three home runs. Jess Giordano holds a 13-6 record in the circle over 21 appearances with a 2.37 ERA and 61 strikeouts.
Arcadia ECAC Tournament History: This is the second ECAC Championship appearance for Arcadia since becoming an ECAC member for to the 2013-14 academic year. The Scarlet and Grey qualified as the fifth seed in the 2014 tournament and advanced to the double elimination weekend following a 6-2 win over fourth-seeded Neumann in the play-in round.
Last Meeting: The teams split a doubleheader last season. Arcadia took game one 7-5 behind multi-RBI games from
Amanda Hess (3) and
Sarah Gunia (2). The Cavaliers took the night cap 11-10.
