GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University softball team won the first game of Saturday's ECAC Division III South Championship series with Cabrini College by a final count of 10-1 in five inning at Blankley Field. HOW IT HAPPENED: Cabrini struck first, taking a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second as Marissa Alpaugh drove a single through the right side of the infield to plate Brittany Smith from third. It was all Arcadia from there however, as the Knights pushed across 10 unanswered runs to win the game in five innings.

Arcadia scored five times in the top of the third to take control of the game, tying the game on freshman Jackie Bilotti's RBI-single to center and taking the lead on senior Sara Boyadjis' RBI single to left. Sophomore Nicole Iasiello crushed a three-run homer to left to cap the scoring in the frame. The Knights scored five more times in the top of the fifth, which included a two-RBI double to the gap in right-center from senior Alicia McMahon. Sophomore Marissa Mancinelli pinch ran for McMahon and scored what proved to be the game-winning run on senior Nicki Larro's one-out sac fly to center field.

ON THE HILL: Senior Erin Wilson surrendered just one unearned run on two hits while fanning three batters in five innings, improving her record to 11-8 this season. Kiley Sharp fell to 5-5 after giving up five runs (four earned) on five hits in four innings.
