READING, Pa. – The Arcadia University field hockey team dropped a 4-0 MAC Commonwealth match at Alvernia University Saturday, which is ranked 19th in this week's National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Coaches' Poll. The Crusaders improved to 8-0 for the season, while the Knights fell to 0-8.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Alexis Krall scored the only goal Alvernia would need 10:21 into the game as the Crusaders staked themselves to a 3-0 lead at the half. Malorie McCory scored the first of her two goals in the 18th-minute, while Andrew Wysocki scored in the 31st-minute.

Brittany Hodson took the loss for the Knights after allowing two goals and making two saves in 17:25; freshman
Anne Becker allowed two goals and had nine saves in the remainder of the game.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS: Alvernia outshot Arcadia 20-3 in the match, which included a 12-1 margin in the first half. The Crusaders also had a 10-2 advantage on penalty corners.
