GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University field hockey team exploded for three first half goals on its way to a 4-0 victory over Immaculata University Monday night at Easton Field. Senior
Allie Hines scored a pair of goals for the Knights, who picked up their first win of the season. The Mighty Macs fell to 4-5 with the loss.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Arcadia scored three times in the opening 13 minutes of the match. Hines scored her first goal of the night 2:54 in after maneuvering around Sarah Pasternak on a breakaway for what proved to be the game-winner. Junior
Lindsay Tobey tipped the ball home with a diving attempt 12:24 into the game before Hines tipped in her second of the just under a minute later. Sophomore
Molly Fait scored the fourth and final goal of the contest in the 68th minute, banging home a rebound off a scramble in front of the cage.

Anne Becker totaled six saves as she recorded the first win and shutout of her collegiate career in her first career start. Sophomore
Liz Stierle added a defensive save for the Knights as Immaculata pressed late in the second half, it was her first of the season. Pasternak finished the game with 16 saves.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS: Arcadia's four goals on the evening matched its offensive output for the season headin into the contest. The Knights had a 13-8 advantage on shots in the first half, and a 21-1 advantage in the second. The Mighty Macs held a 7-6 margin in penalty corners.
