Field Hockey Drops 6-0 Decision at No. 17 Rowan

Glassboro, N.J. – The Arcadia University field hockey team fell to 0-3 for the season following a 6-0 loss at Rowan University Wednesday night. The Profs, who were ranked 17th in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Preseason Coaches' Poll, improved to 1-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED: The Profs got on the board in the 21st minute as Rachel Galante put a shot in front directly in front of the cage, and that proved to be the only goal Rowan would need. Bridget Boyle capped the first half scoring with just six seconds on the clock, and then opened the second half scoring nine minutes into the frame. Courtney Aquino also scored twice in the game, both in the second half.

IN GOAL: Carly DeMarco earned the win without facing a shot on goal to improve her record to 1-2. Senior Brittany Hodson fell to 0-3 after making eight saves and allowing five goals in 61 minutes. Freshman Anne Becker allowed one goal over the final 8:55 in her collegiate debut.
