ASTON, Pa. – Junior
Georges Fiori scored his first goal of the season in the 60th-minute to give the Arcadia University men's soccer team a 1-0 non-conference win at Neumann University Wednesday night. The Scarlet and Grey improved to 2-1-0 with the win, while Neumann's record fell to 0-3-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED: The match was evenly played through the first 45 minutes before Arcadia put the pressure on the in the second. That level of play finally paid off when junior
Bradley McKim fed a pass to a wide open Fiori, who deposited the ball in the back of the net for the lone tally of the match. It was just the second goal of Fiori's collegiate career, and his first since he scored in a 7-3 win over King's College (Pa.) as a freshman.

Chris Watson stopped each of the three shots on goal her faced to earn the win in net, improving his record to 2-1-0 this season. Shane Smith totaled seven saves in goal for Neumann as he record fell to 0-3-0.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS: Both teams fired off six shots in the first half, but Arcadia dominated the second by outshooting Neumann 10-2. Neumann had a slim 5-4 edge in corner kicks and was called offside just once in the match. Arcadia found itself offside three times, all in the second half.
