GLASSBORO, N.J. – The Arcadia University women's volleyball team split a tri-match Saturday afternoon, defeating Shenandoah 3-1, before falling to the host Profs by the same margin.
FOR THE RECORD: The Knights sit at 13-8 overall. The Hornets downed Rowan earlier in the day and sit at 6-13 on the year. The Profs are 10-12.
ARCADIA 3, SHENANDOAH 1 (26-24, 25-19, 24-26, 25-19)
HOW IT HAPPENED: The Knights quickly jumped out to a 14-7 lead in the opening set, a lead that would increase to as many as nine. Shenandoah slowly fought back before sophomore

Colleen Stengel. The teams went on to stay neck-and-neck for much of the second set, before the Scarlet and Grey notched six straight points to claim a 2-0 match lead. Freshman
Lauren Enfield recorded the first three kills of the run, followed by junior
Becca Campf with two and a service ace from junior
Kayla Resh to end it. After falling in the third set, Arcadia went on an 12-4 run in the middle of the fourth set to take a 19-13 lead. The teams went back-and-forth the rest of the way before Arcadia claimed the set 25-19.
ARCADIA LEADERS: Enfield led all players with 19 kills, followed by Ryan with 17. Sehrt led the way at the net with three blocks, while Stengel quarterbacked the offense with 50 assists. Four different players registered double-digit digs, led by sophomore
Emily Eng with 17.
SHENANDOAH LEADERS: Emily Cheatwood's eight kills and four blocks led the Hornets' attack. Michelle DiVito and Caylin Harris each added seven kills. Megan Hillyard dished out 16 assists, with Kayla Robey adding 13. Defensively, Nicole Shannon led the way with 26 digs.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS: The Knights totaled 74 points on 60 kills, seven aces and seven blocks. Shenandoah scored 50 points on 37 kills, six aces and seven blocks.
ROWAN 3, ARCADIA 1 (33-31, 22-25, 25-18, 25-21)
HOW IT HAPPENED: Arcadia battled back from an early deficit to take a 16-13 lead on the heels of an 11-4 run. After Rowan tied the set at 20, the teams mirrored each other's scoring until the hosts tallied the final three points of the set. The Knights bounced back quickly in the second set by scoring seven of the first eight points. After leading by as many as nine, the Scarlet and Grey went on to take the set 25-22. The Profs used two long runs to claim the third set, before taking the fourth set 25-21.
MOVING ON UP: With 20 digs in the match, sophomore Emily eng moved into fourth place all-time on Arcadia's all-time list. She has 719 career digs.
ARCADIA LEADERS: Joseph led all players with 18 kills, followed by Ryan with 13. Freshman
Lauren Enfield chipped in three aces, while Stengel registered 44 assists. Eng totaled 20 digs defensively, while sophomore
Mackenzie Hale had 17, Resh added 12 and Stengel recorded 11.
ROWAN LEADERS: Taylor Modica led the way for the Profs with 16 kills, while Megan Jacobi added 13 and Kailey Gallagher had 12. Katelyn Paxson totaled 30 assists with Tori Mock adding 20. Erin Keegan was one of for players with double-digit digs with 18.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS: Arcadia scored 71 points in the match on 59 kills, nine aces and three blocks. The Profs totaled 69 points on 55 kills, eight aces and six blocks.
