BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's basketball team picked up its second consecutive win Tuesday night, downing Bryn Athyn 74-58. The Knights rebounded from a five-point, halftime deficit to outscore the hosts 42-21 over the final 20 minutes of play.
 
FOR THE RECORD:

• The Scarlet and Grey improved to 2-1 on the season
• The Lions dropped to 1-2

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Juniors Phil Pierfy, Jon Lott and Jordan Sanders along with freshman Khatib Cousins went a combined 4-9 from the floor and 7-8 from the free throw line over the final 5:27 of the first half to cut Bryn Athyn's lead from 10 to five.
• Courtesy of lights-out shooting to start the second half, the Knights netted 16 points over a 3:14 span, while keeping the opposition off the board, to jump out to a nine-point lead just past the six-minute mark. Junior Josh Scott capped the run with back-to-back threes.
• After staving off the Lions' initial retaliation attempt, Arcadia closed out the game on a 22-9 run, expanding its lead to as many as 19. The Knights shot 10-11 from the floor to end the night, while holding the hosts to 4-12 shooting and forced six turnovers. Pierfy dropped 10 points in the span.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Pierfy led all scorers with 22 points on 8-14 shooting from the field and 6-8 from the charity stripe.
• Lott chalked up a double-double with 14 points on 7-9 shooting and a game-high 10 rebounds.
• Freshman Da'Kquan Davis shot 3-5 for nine points.
• As a team, Arcadia shot 45.2% (28-62) from the field and 82.4% (14-17) from the free throw line.
• The glass favored the Knights, as the team hauled in 46 rebounds (14-32) compared to Bryn Athyn's 30.

• Arcadia is 3-0 all-time vs the Lions
• Lott's double-double was his first in a Scarlet and Grey uniform
