HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – The Arcadia University women's basketball picked up its second-straight victory Tuesday night with a 62-37 win over the Centenary Cyclones. The Knights had four scorers in double digits, led by junior
Camille Menns' second-straight double-double (13 points and 11 rebounds).
FOR THE RECORD:
- The Knights moved to 2-1 on the season, picking up their first road victory on the year.
- The Cyclones dropped to 1-3.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Arcadia held a lead for all but 28 seconds in the first quarter including a 5-0 run to start the opening frame. The Knights would end the first quarter up 13-12.
- The second quarter was dominated by the Knights, holding Centenary to just two points in the stanza. Arcadia took a 11-0 run through the first seven and a half minutes, seeing four different players score during that span.
- The Knights took a 32-14 lead into the half.
- Arcadia continued to build its lead in the third quarter, outscoring the Cyclones 18-10, seeing six points from both Menns and sophomore Taylor Dunn.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Alongside Menns, Dunn (10), sophomores Courtney Hoffman (10) and Jamie Manzo (10) all registered double digits in points.
- In addition to her 10 points, Hoffman dished out a season-best five assists.
- On the glass, the Knights out rebounded the Cyclones 44-39, seeing a career-highs from Menns (11) and sophomore Sydney Cyr (10).
- Specifically on the offensive glass, Arcadia tallied 17 second-chance points.
- The Knights outworked the Cyclones in the paint, outscoring them 30-16.
- Arcadia led for an unprecedented 39:12.
GAME NOTES:
- Menns' double-double was her second consecutive and the second of her career.
- For the first time this season, four Knights scored in double figures.
- The victory over Centenary marked the first in program history.
