CHAMPIONS! Jess Kelly Lifts Women’s Soccer to MAC Commonwealth Championship in 104th Minute

GRANTHAM, Pa. – Senior Jess Kelly found the back of the net in the 104th minute to lift the second-seeded Arcadia University women's soccer team to a 1-0 win over top-seeded Messiah Saturday night. The Knights claim the MAC Commonwealth Championship for the first time in program history and advance to the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament for the second straight season. Kelly was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • In what was a evenly play match, sophomore Amanda McHugh chipped a pass to Kelly, who put a shot from outside the box over the goalkeeper's hand in the 104th minute.

  • Arcadia took 11 shots in the match, including two on goal
  • Each team took four corners
  • Kelly and sophomore Amanda McHugh fired a team-best three shots
