PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. – Juniors

Mike Boulanger scattered seven hits over nine innings as the Arcadia University baseball team recorded a 4-0 victory over Ohio Wesleyan University Monday morning at North Charlotte Regional Park.
FOR THE RECORD: The Knights improved to 7-2 with their third consecutive win. The Battling Bishops fell to 0-5 with the loss.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Arcadia scored the only run it would need in the bottom of the first as senior
Jordan Draude lifted a sac-fly to left that allowed sophomore
Bryan Gillen to score from third. It remained a 1-0 game until the seventh, where Gillen drove an RBI-single to left that plated sophomore
Nick Ponente and junior
Drew Coisson scored as senior
Justin Chasmar's grounded into a double play. Sophomore
Luke Hohenstein scored the game's final run in the eighth on Ponente's sacrifice fly for the 4-0 final.
ON THE HILL: Lloyd scattered five hits over seven innings in his first start of the season. His record now stands at 1-0 after earning his first decision of the season. Boulanger picked up the save after allowing two hits with two strikeouts over the final two innings. Justin Grubb (0-1) pitched well in taking the loss for Ohio Wesleyan, allowing three runs on seven hits over his six innings of work.
ARCADIA AT BAT: Ponente was 1 for 1 with an RBI and a run scored after entering the game in _ as a pinch hitter. Coisson was 2 for 4 with a double and a run scored, while Gillen finished 2 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored. Hohenstein was 2 for 3 with a run scored.
OHIO WESLEYAN AT BAT: Michael Blatchford was 2 for 4 from the leadoff spot with a pair of singles, accounting for two of the team's seven hits. Aaron Strausbaugh was 1 for 4 with a double, the team's lone extra-base hit.
