DALLAS, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's lacrosse team dropped a 10-7 decision at Misericordia University Saturday, with one three-goal run in the first half proving to be the difference in the game.
FOR THE RECORD: Both teams now stand at 5-2 for the season. The Cougars improved their winning streak to four games with the win.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Freshman

Allegra Benites scored in the opening six minutes to give the Knights and early 2-1 lead before a three-goal Misericordia run that featured a pair of goals from Liz Mulvey put the Cougars up 4-2. Benites and junior
Marie Brockman answered for Arcadia to tie the game at 4-4 with 13 minutes left in the first half before another three-goal run for the Cougars put them out in front for good in the game at 7-4. The two teams alternated goals the rest of the way for the 10-7 final.
IN GOAL: Katie McLoughlin registered nine saves to pick up the win in goal for Misericordia. Junior
Liz Stierle also had nine saves while taking the loss in goal for the Knights.
ARCADIA LEADERS: Benites finished with three goals and an assist for a game-high four points, while Ryan finished with two goals, three draw controls, two ground balls and two caused turnovers. Brockman finished with one goal and a pair of ground balls, while freshman
Caroline Toner added one goal with two ground balls and two caused turnovers.
MISERICORDIA LEADERS: Seven different players scored for the Cougars, who were led by Mulvey's three-goal effort. Amy Roth had a pair of goals, while Olivia Garcia had one goal and two assists. Kaila Quinlivan chipped in with one goal, one assist, four ground balls, two draw controls and two caused turnovers.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS: Both teams took 20 shots and were credited with 20 ground balls in the game. Misericordia committed five fewer turnovers (20-25), while Arcadia had a 13-6 advantage on draw controls. The Knights were 1 for 6 on free position attempts, while the Cougars were 1 for 2.
