GRANTHAM, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's lacrosse team fell to Messiah 14-5 in MAC Commonwealth play Wednesday night. The Knights fell to 3-9 on the season and 1-3 in the conference, while the Falcons improved to 6-4 overall and 4-0 in MAC Commonwealth play.
HOW IT HAPPENED: The hosts took control early scoring six goals in the first quarter. Freshman
Clo Muscara got the Knights on the board with three minutes to go until the half, before each team met twine four times in the second half.
ARCADIA LEADERS: Sophomore
Nick Ferraro led the way for Arcadia with a pair of goals, while Muscara, freshman
Ryan Mahon and senior
Kenny Grant each found the back of the net.
MESSIAH LEADERS: Matthew Franken led the way for the Falcons with six goals and an assist. Blake Knobloch found the back of the net three times.
IN GOAL: Sophomore
Danny Lipkin (3-9) suffered the loss for Arcadia, allowing 10 goals and making 6 saves in 30 minutes of work. Junior
A.J. Beck played the second half, allowing four goals and making 14 saves. Sam Stengel (5-4) got the win for Messiah, making four saves and allowing five goals.
