GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University softball team took the second game of a key regional doubleheader 3-2 over Stockton in eight innings Sunday afternoon on Blankley Field; the Ospreys took game one 4-0. The Knights moved to 25-11 on the season, while Stockton is now 21-18-1 overall.
GAME TWO: ARCADIA 3, STOCKTON 2 (8 INNINGS)
HOW IT HAPPENED: Arcadia got on the board first in the bottom of the first when junior
Amanda Hess sent a 1-0 pitch to center field, scoring sophomore
Jackie Bilotti from third base. Stockton answered in the top of the fourth inning when Ashley Lobell scored when Daniela Marinaro reached on a fielder's choice.
The game remained tied at one run apiece until the international tie breaker rule was in effect in the top of the eighth inning. With a runner on third and one out in the top of the eighth, Morgan DiVello put down a suicide squeeze. Danielle Lugo took off from third, narrowly beating the throw to give the Ospreys a 2-1 lead. Mary Pat Murray from third; the center fielder was charged with an error on the play, allowing junior

ARCADIA AT THE PLATE: Hess led the Arcadia offense, going 3-for-3 with an RBI and a walk. Seven of the Knights recorded one hit for the Knights.
STOCKTON AT THE PLATE: Alexa Massa went 2-for-4 for the Ospreys with a triple. Seven other players recorded a base hit for Stockton.
IN THE CIRCLE: Murray improved to 10-3 on the season, allowing two runs on nine hits, with four strikeouts and no walks. Hannah Bibeault took the loss in relief for the Ospreys, allowing two unearned runs on three hits with two walks and three strikeouts in 3.2 innings of work.
GAME ONE: STOCKTON 4, ARCADIA 0
HOW IT HAPPENED: Stockton got on the board in the top of the first inning, when Holly Arentowicz singled to left field to plate Carli Shaw from second. Alexandra Cosenzo doubled to left center in the next at bat to score Arentowicz. Stockton struck again in the seventh inning, when Massa scored Casey Scheida on a single to center field. Two batters later, Cosenzo singled to right field to score Daniela Marinaro to cap the score.
ARCADIA AT THE PLATE: Bilotti, Cancelliere, Iasiello, freshman

Kayla Resh, and senior
Samantha Quigley each recorded a hit for the Knights.
STOCKTON AT THE PLATE: The Osprey's offense was led by Arentowicz and Cosenzo, who each went 2-for-4. Massa, Lugo, Shaw, Chelsea Thomas, and Maggie Klatt each recorded a hit for Stockton.
IN THE CIRCLE: Freshman Kyle Schwind (12-7) took the loss, giving up four runs on nine hits with a walk and four strikeouts. Bibeault got the win (11-10), giving up six hits, walking one, and striking out two.
