GLENSIDE ,Pa. – The Arcadia University men's lacrosse team fell 10-7 to Lycoming Saturday afternoon on Jean Lenox West Field. The Knights dropped to 3-8 on the season and 1-2 in conference play, while the Warriors moved to 4-7 overall and 2-2 in MAC Commonwealth action.
HOW IT HAPPENED: The game's first three goals came from Arcadia sticks with freshman
Austin Williams the first to find the back of the net just over two minutes in. Sophomore
CJ Sherlock registered his first goal as a Knight exactly six minutes in, before freshman
Clo Muscara made the score 3-0 a minute later.
The visitors took control from there scoring eight straight, including the only five goals of the second quarter. Junior
Matt Mignogna got Arcadia back on the board with his first goal of the season with 7:01 to go in the third, before Muscara pulled the Knights to within an 8-5 deficit with 5:23 left in the frame, before the teams alternated the final four goals.
ARCADIA LEADERS: Williams and Muscara each scored two goals and handed out an assist for three points, while freshman
Ben Robbins had two assists.
LYCOMING LEADERS: Tyler Thompson led the Warriors with five points on two goals and three assists. Richie Hurley and Drew Collins each recorded a hat trick.
IN GOAL: Sophomore
Danny Lipkin (3-8) took the loss for Arcadia allowing 10 goals and making 10 saves. Michael Tennant (4-7) allowed seven goals and made seven saves in the win for Lycoming.
