GALLOWAY, N.J. – The Arcadia University field hockey team opened the 2017 season at Stockton Friday night, falling 7-2 to the host Ospreys.

Gabby Sedares got the Knights on the board for the first time this season. Sedares beat the keeper from the left side after taking a pass from sophomore
Sydney Cyr. The Ospreys went on to score five of the game's final six goals. Junior
Lindsay Bechtold scored Arcadia's second goal after finding a loose ball at the post and poking it in the cage.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS: The hosts outshot Arcadia 15-12 in the contest, while the Knights took 10 penalty corners compared to Stockton's five.
IN GOAL: Freshman
Maya Stern (0-1) took the loss allowing five goals and making three saves in 45:30 of work. Sophomore
Ashton Evans allowed two goals and made one save in 24:30 of relief. Emily Sorochynskyj (1-0) made five saves while allowing two goals for Stockton.
