OWINGS MILL, Md. – The Arcadia University field hockey teamed traveled to Stevenson Saturday night, falling to the Mustangs 4-1.
FOR THE RECORD: The Knights moved to 7-4 on the year and 1-1 in conference play. Stevenson moved to 5-4 overall and 1-1 in MAC Commonwealth action.
HOW IT HAPPENED: The Scarlet and Grey withstood early pressure from the hosts and took a 1-0 lead with just under 12 minutes to play in the first half when freshman
Michaela Ferlow found the back of the net. The Mustangs got on the board with their first of four second half goals three minutes into the frame. Arcadia created a pair of opportunities late with shots off penalty corners; the first shot was denied by a defensive save and the second went wide.
IN GOAL: Freshman
Maya Stern (7-4) made 11 saves for the Knights in 67:36 of work. Maia Harper (1-1) allowed one goal and made one save for Stevenson.
