Fritz Picks Up Double-Double as Women's Basketball Falters Against Albright

GLENSIDE, Pa. – Freshman Taylor Fritz picked up her second career double-double, however the Arcadia women's basketball team fell to Albright, 72-50, Wednesday night.
 
FOR THE RECORD:
  • The Knights fell to 8-11 on the season, with a 3-6 mark in the conference.
  • The Lions advanced to 14-5 on the year, with a 9-1 record in MAC Commonwealth play.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • After falling behind in the first quarter, the Knights tried to rally back in the second. The Scarlet and Grey took a 10-0 run over a 3:02 span to cut the deficit to 12 points with 5:56 left if the first half. The Lions led at the end of the half, 45-26.
  • In the third frame, both teams established a run, however Albright enhanced its lead to 62-34.
  • The Knights had the advantage in the final stanza, outscoring the Lions 16-10. Ultimately, Albright would come out on top, 72-50. 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
  • Fritz finished the day with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
  • Classmate Kylie Fischer added 10 points for the Knights off the bench.
