GLENSIDE, Pa. --
Ryan Hammer tallied a goal and an assist, and
R.J. White scored two goals to lead the Arcadia men's soccer team past Hood, 4-1, on Saturday afternoon at Jean Lenox West Field and Delran Pavilion.

The Knights won their second straight game and improved to 5-8-1 overall and 2-3-0 in the MAC Commonwealth. Hood now stands at 7-5-1 overall and 1-4-0 in the conference.

Daniel Tittelmayer wasted no time in putting the Knights on top, taking a pass from Hammer and beating Danny Castillo in the fourth minute for an early 1-0 lead. The Blazers answered in the 26th minute when Ryan Waugh scored, with Ricky Salgado picking up the assist, to knot the game at 1-1.

White scored his first goal of the season, the ultimate game-winner no less, in the 35th minute to stake AU to a 2-1 lead. In the second half,
Sam Hernandez found a wide open Hammer on the doorstep in the 48th minute for a 3-1 lead, and White closed out the scoring at the 73:19 mark.

IN GOAL:
Jake Varrato played all 90:00 in goal and made one save with one goal allowed. It was his second game in goal after being out since mid-September with an injury. Castillo played the first 76:25 and made six saves while allowing all four goals. Nick Pilny mopped up the last 13:35 and did not face a shot.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: Hammer has now scored in each of his last four games ... He has nine goals on the season, far surpassing the six he scored as a junior … White's two goals matched his career total entering the game. He scored once last season, as a junior, and his first goal came in his freshman campaign … The Knights yielded just three shots in the game, while launching 16 of their own.
