WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Arcadia men's tennis team competed in the MAC Individual Championship on Saturday.
Ryan Stellato moved to the quarterfinals of No. 7 singles, 6-1. 6-0 win over Brody Brown of Albright. Stellatto then advanced to the semifinals with a 1-6, 6-3, 13-11 win over Alex Levine of Wilkes. Stelato will face Amad Kanan of DeSales in the semifinals.
Alex Post also advanced to the semifinals in No. 7 singles. Post defeated Oluwatobi Aroloye from Hood 6-0, 6-1. Post will face Nick Holland of King's in the semifinals.
In doubles, Nicolas Simeone and
Sal DiBenedetto advanced to the quarterfinals after an 8-3 win over Juan Huerats and Nick Schlapak of Manhattanville College No. 1 doubles. Simeone and DiBendetto then fell in the quarterfinals, 8-5 to Tyler Milan and Austin Mackeey of King's.
In No. 3 doubles,
John Zinzer and
Ryan Stellato advanced to the quarterfinals with a 8-0 win over the duo of Snyder/McCaffery of Misericordia. Zinzer and Stellatto fell in the quarterfinals.
Simeone advanced to the quarterfinals in No.1 singles after a 2-6, 6-3, 12-10 win over Alex Mantsevich and will face Courtney Murphy from Wilkes on Sunday.
The MAC Men's Individual Championships will resume Sunday morning at 9 a.m.
